Having passed through Saint Paul Switch and crossed Highway 32, a CN turn is entering Hilbert via Hilbert Jsnction. Hilbert Junction is where the old Milwaukee Road branched off to get to Menasha and the Fox Cities from its line that went to Ontonagon, Michigan, from Milwaukee. The Soo Line had rights over the Milwaukee from Menasha to Hilbert Junction where it th`n continued on it's own rails to Manitowoc. These lines are now all owned by the CN. |

Typically I would not post such a poorly focused image, however I found it a unique sight to find a light engine movement so far out from Menasha. The unit is about 13 miles out of Menasha, approaching County Road B and MP14 on the Manitowoc Sub, heading long hood first for Hilbert Junction. |
