Description: |
Found at the southern end of North Creek yard awaiting restoration back to active service. Built in 1963 for the Delaware & Hudson Railroad, it is currently under the ownership of Southwind Rail Travel Limited. Restored to D&H colors, it still bears lettering for the Upper Hudson River Railroad, the last operator of the Adirondack branch, who used this locomotive as their primary power for excursions. A closer look at the long hood also revealed the faint traces of Delaware Lackawanna Railroad lettering as well. |
