Viewing Album:  Conrail’s Juniata shops Altoona graveyard in August, 1977.

Album Info:Many Alcos including EL, CNJ, PC, and LV RS-3’s, an LV RS-2, a pair of PC RS-32’s, a PC RS-11, a PC RS-27, a pair of PC S-2's, and a RDG C424 filled the first rows of the Juniata shops deadline in August, 1977. The retired units from EMD included many EL, PC, and NYC E-8A’s, a PC F-7A,, and a pair of SW-1’s from the PC and RDG. A pair of Baldwin S-12’s from the PC joined the Alco’s and EMD’s in the lines of retired power. Just over a year into Conrail, only a pair of former EL RS-3’s, the PC RS-27, the RS-32’s, and the RDG C424 had received CR stencils. Finally, of all the Alco, EMD, and Baldwin units filling the deadline, only one CR blue unit was among them, former RDG C424 2492.
