Description:  Next we moved into South Bend in hopes to catch a South Shore, but it didnt work out so we tried to get to the Amtrak station to get our next couple of NS trains. Right as we got to the crossing the gates began to go down and we got stopped by NS 881 with BNSF 9025 leading.

Description:  We followed NS all the way to New Carlisle, but after NS 205 it got really quiet. We made a pit stop in New Carlisle to photograph the little Plymouth engine that switches around cars at the grain elevator then headed down to Wellsboro to see if we could catch any CSX or CN action.

Title:  CSX 3283
Description:  A stopped CSX stack train awaits signal clearence north on the Joint Line in Grant Park, IL. This would be the final train of the day, bringing todays total to 44 trains. The overall trip total is 100, but hopefully we will see more! Next we went to our hotel in Kankakee, IL which was very nice. Tomorrow we head out to watch trains on CN to begin then up to the Transcon for the main hub of the trip!
