Viewing Album:  Steam Engines in Tulsa and Bartlesville

Album Info:On this trip to Tulsa, I finally got around to photographing the Frisco 4500, located in the Route 66 Historic Village in SW Tulsa just east of Interstate 244. Also, I went up to Bartlesville and photographed their Santa Fe steam engine, as well as their historic depot, a joint project between the Santa Fe and Katy Railroads. Finally, I went down to Collinsville, where I photographed the Santa Ge Depot and Rock Island caboose there. Enjoy viewing! *UPDATE: March 16, 2018, when I was in Tulsa, I photographed the steam engine at the fairgrounds. #207, it worked for the Dierks Lumber Company. Dierks Lumber owned and operated the Texas, Oklahoma, & Eastern Railroad, so I have tagged the engine as TOE 207. You can find the engine today at the SW corner of the Tulsa fairgrounds. Enjoy!

Description:  This depot was built in 1899. In 1975, it was donated to the Collinsville Historical Society and moved to a location next to the fairgrounds for preservation.
