Album Info:This album features photos from Pan Am's Connecticut operations. Based out of Plainville, Connecticut, train PL-1 works a variety of customers on a number of branches. The train runs from Plainville to East Deerfield, MA. once a week, most often on Saturdays, and returns south on Tuesday or Wednesday of the next week.

Description:  Here's a look at the sidings where Perma Treat loads their cars. On the right is PL-1's train. The engine is under the bridge getting ready to couple to those gondolas in the middle. Perma Treat has a plant in Wallingford, CT., where ties are made, and the ties get trucked to this location. Perma Treat sometimes ships out mulch and small logs in uncovered hoppers.
