Album Info:Howdy, friends! I got to go to Pennsylvania last summer, and if you know anything about trains in Pennsylvania, then you know that the state's chock-full of tourist railroads and museums. The East Broad Top looked intriguing, so I went to visit it. Out of service from 2011-20, the railroad reopened for rides in 2021 and is doing well, with beautiful new coaches and a wonderful depot from which to board the trains at. A second treat is the Rockhill Furnace Trolley Museum, which is located right next door. The ride takes you through the beautiful Pennsylvania countryside, and (though I didn't have time this trip) you can tour the railroad's roundhouse and see where they work on the engines! A definite must-see if you're ever in Central Pennsylvania! Note: The East Broad Top Railroad owns 6 steam engines; unfortunately, they weren't in service when I was there, so none of them are photographed here. Locomotive 16 is up and running again, though, and hopefully more will be as well in the future.
