Stuff like this is vanishing from the rails for the last time, I believe. SD40-2's have become like F Units, ancient power that has given way to new power for the last time. No more "Well, there goes 300 SD40-2's to HLCX" or anything like that, the days of thinning the heard are ending, because plain and simple there just aren't any of these around in any number anymore. |

My first CP-BN encounter for the quarterly swap boasts a pair!of multimark SD40-2's. Another cool thing about this train, is today it took the 603 switch (right by the last TTX gondola) onto the mainline instead of leaving through the T Yard. This isn't all that rare at all, but still a nice change of pace. These two sure look good in early morning light! |
