Album Info:Since liberalisation of the Swedish railway market in 2001, new operators took up business in Sweden. The passenger market became divided into two markets: The remains of the Swedisch state operator SJ covers the mainlines and local and commuter operators are privat or community owned. In the cargo market Green Cargo, the former SJ cargo division, became under the umbrella of the finance department. New privat and other state owned operators took up business oportunities in the industrie, forest and trade market through winning more and more contracts. A four day trip brought me around the southern part of Sweden. Information by Wikipedia and many Swedish company mentioned and other sources, Newest pictures are first, rest is grouped by class and operator.

Description:  The T43 107 was once used for the film "Dancer in the Dark" and got its Great Northern livery, The film is set in Washington state in 1964 and focuses on Selma Ježková, a Czech immigrant who has moved to the United States with her son. What no one in Selma's life knows is that she has a hereditary degenerative disease which is gradually causing her to go blind. She has been saving up every penny that she makes (in a candy tin in her kitchen) to pay for an operation which will prevent her young son from suffering the same fate. Dancer in the Dark premiered at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival to standing ovations and controversy and was awarded the Palme d'Or, along with the Best Actress award for Björk. The song "I've Seen It All," with Thom Yorke, was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song.

Description:  China also purchased a X 2000 train named "Xinshisu" (New Speed). The train served as Guangzhou-Kowloon Through Train on the Guangshen Railway from 1998 to 2007. It was delivered to Sichuan Province in August 2007. However, due to the 2008 Sichuan earthquake, Chengdu Railway Bureau needed to rebuild the railway networks in Sichuan Province. Also, the authority could not carry the maintenance costs of the train. It was therefore returned to Guangshen Railway Company Limited in late December 2008. In 2012 the train was purchased by SJ and was shipped back to Sweden. Part of this train is now in the backyard of Swedens railway museum at Gävle.

Description:  X2 is the Swedish high speed tilting train system operated by SJ (Swedish Railways). It has a top commercial speed of 200 kph / 120 mph, but has reached 276 kph / 171 mph in a test. The reason the X2 was chosen was that Sweden has very curved railways, and not enough traffic to justify building special high-speed railway lines. As a result, a Swedish tilting train had to be developed.

Description:  New long-distance version of Regina is called X55 by SJ, of which 20 units were ordered 2008. The EMU trains has four coaches and is designed for long-distance including a bistro area. The interior is more spacious than the usual Regina railcars, with 2 +2 seating in width in other class (the 3 +2 in the former Regina). The interior design and comfort reminiscent rather of the X2 trains, but compared to them is the element of wood larger and the electronic information systems more developed. Trains have internet and also has its own server board. Via a web portal, the traveler can pay to download movies from the server and see them on their own computer.

Description:  Pizza Racer or Spaghetti-Train are the nicknames in Sweden for those railcars, because of their Italian origin. Y1 is based on the Italian model ALn 668. This diesel railcar was built during the period 1954–1981, altogehther 787 units in twelve series. Class Y1 railcars were gradually added to almost every unelectrified railways in passenger traffic around Sweden and thus spread across the country, from Ystad Simrishamn in the south to Haparanda line in the north.
