Album Info:NS purchased a total of 130 SD70M-2's in 2005-2006 because they were still resistant to purchasing AC powered locos. (Think of the SD70M-2 as the DC counterpart to the SD70ACe). Eventually NS decided to switch to AC technology and purged its roster of the SD70M-2's as of 2020. Rumor has it that they may become a candidate for conversion to AC technology and some were returned to the roster in 2023
