Description:  Especially when youre trying to run 75-plus cars over the Heavener Sub. This train showed in Watts with a single SD70. I counted 75 cars before the trees blocked the view. Must have been a very trying trip. Thats the Bakery Feeds plant in the background.

Description:  Or maybe not, depends on your point of view. The southbound coil train passes Shockeys along US 59 south of Watts. As I write this, there is work being done to make US 59 between Watts and Westville a 4 lane. It will probably go into next year, but should make chasing here easier when the project is complete.

Description:  For a while, empty trains were getting all the power up front, and nothnig on the rear. In recent months, the operating philosophy seems to have changed, and there are now a couple of engines on the rear of the empty trains. This northbound has a couple as it rolls past the soccer field in Westville.

Description:  Despite the hordes of Retro Belle units, there is still a sizeable group of gray engines rolling around, mostly GEs, which dont seem to be getting repainted. Description:  With all the attention given to the new Belle scheme, its easy to overlook that the gray units are slowly disappearing. One has to remember, this was considered a great improvement over the white dip that KCS used for so long. This southbound H reain has picked up the local power at Watts for a trip to Heavener for servicing, making for five gray units, a sight that has become unusual.
