Description:  Q 143 arrives from the Lineville Sub with 170 platforms. There was enough light to get the shot here, but it was dark when he cleared. The northbound with 5207 has gotten as far as he can after a crew change over an hour ago.

Description:  This northbound was catching one of the few peeks of sun as it rolled in from Waycross for a crew change and a meet with Q 260. It would get a new crew, but still be waiting to get out when I left around 1930 after meeting Q 143.

Description:  I had always thought Id see one of the NS heritage units before Id see one of CSXs, since there are so mbny more of them, and they are hard to miss when you see one. So, oddly, I caught this small tribute to Seaboard Coast Line on the nose of the leader of this southbound G 519. If only theyd paint the whole unit in SCL black and yellow...

Hard to run down
Title:  Hard to run down
Description:  I was headed to Stevenson to set up for the day, and saw this train rolling east as I was westbound on US 72. Its a divided highway, so I had to go another half mile the wrong direction, then get turned around and run all the way through Bridgeport, which is SLOW!! I was able to get ahead before the bridge, but it was a grab shot out the window of this Georgia Power coal train.

Description:  I saw several Georgia Power coal trains while in the area. These had a standard consist, which included a single DPU about halfway into the train. The train sets stayed together, and the DPUs kept their position, loaded or empty. This is an empty train heading back north, the DPU right in place.
