Nice, original slide by an unknown photographer of the Baltimore & Ohio Chicago Terminal switcher #8418 sitting in Barr Yard. Built by EMD in May of 1942 as #221 (bldr #1603), it was later renumbered to 8418 in January of 1974. Here is is a year later. Specifics - 2 stroke, 45 degree V6 engine that produced 600 hp at 800rpm. The switcher was first sold to Evans Milling and then resold to Allied Tube & Conduit. |

Specifics - 2 stroke, 45 degree V6 engine that produced 600 hp at 800rpm. Sold to Central Station Warehouse - date unknown. |
