Album Info:My drive back to Pennsylvania after chasing N&W 611 over Manassas Gap took me through Point of Rocks, MD. My only other time here was on the westbound Capitol Limited years ago, so I stopped to get some photos of the beautiful station here. It was serendipitous timing - In 20 minutes on the ground in Point of Rocks I saw two trains come through - the eastbound Capitol Limited, and a westbound ballast train coming off the old Baltimore main line.

Description:  This was (still is) an important junction on the old B&O main line. It's where eastbound trains split to go to either Baltimore (left tracks) or Washington D.C. (right tracks).
