EL 3215 |
Description: |
Once gliding along the Morris & Essex division of the Lackawanna Railroad, this former Erie Lackawanna MU now shares space in the Steamtown Yard with former Norwood & St. Lawrence 2-6-0 210. A scene like this could easily be many decades ago when steam locomotives and electric MU cars operated together around Hoboken Terminal. |

Description: |
This once proud Mogul now sits cold against the bumper blocks at the back of the Scranton yard with a bunch of former DL&W MU cars. Built in 1923 by Alco's Cooke Works for the Norwood & St. Lawrence Railroad, it was acquired by F. Nelson Blount in the 1960s for the evergrowing collection that would become Steamtown. |

NJTR 4333 |
Description: |
Former Erie Lackawanna MU in storage at the Steamtown yards. Originally built as a locomotive hauled coach by Pullman in 1920, it was rebuilt as an MU trailer for service on the DL&W electrified Morris & Essex lines in New Jersey. The faded red and white paint scheme was from New Jersey Transit in an effort to make the equipment appear newer prior to the M&E reelectrification and addition of newer Arrow III MUs into service. |
