BAR H1 - Bangor & Aroostook |
Description: |
Interesting caboose (called a "buggy" by Bangor & Aroostook) made from a former troop sleeper. One source mentions that these modified cabooses provided sleeping quarters for crew members especially in some of the remote northern areas that lacked accomodations. Thanks to an email from David Larrabee, the location has been corrected to Hermon, ME, where the BAR yards and roundhouse were located. |
