Family Photo of Construction of the Nevada California & Oregon Railway |
Description: |
(Date Approximate) This photo from my grandmothers family history collection; shows what looks like a construction train on the Nevada California & Oregon line. Help via Facebook on the Southern Pacific and Western Pacific fan groups suggests the location is Wendel California. My ancestors who worked on railroads were Martin David Rice, and his son Hubil Lumis Rice. It is possible they are both in this photo. |

Tooele Valley Railway #100 On the Warner Interchange |
Description: |
Built in 1955 by EMD; SW1200 #100 has only a few more months left to work in Tooele before it will be transferred to Butte, Montana when this photo was taken. The Tooele Valley Railway itself would vanish a decade later. This is a slide I just bought from Ebay. Currently this engine is working as SSRX 904. |
