Album Info:Here is a two-page article entitled "Samuel Rea Shop Readied For Straight-Line Repairs." It was published originally in the November 1955 issue of "Pennsy" magazine, pages 6-7. Also included are two versions of the Shop's floor plan and a cumulative summary of "Data in Connection with Samuel Rea Shop" dated 20 May 1961. "The Shop is designed to work on a straight-line production system. A freight car needing heavy repairs will roll in at one end of the plant and come out the other end completely renovated, grit-blasted, painted, and stenciled." (Page 6) * Repaired Album *

Top Photo Caption: "Samuel Rea Shop is impressive sight stretching along Hollidaysburg Yard tracks for more than half a mile." Embracing the Shop to the North (R to L) are US Route 22 and what was formerly the Westbound Classification Yard. To the South, the Bedford-Cumberland Secondary Track is visible as it bridges the West Branch of the Juniata River near the hamlet of Loop Station.
