Depicted here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5471 and #5352. Both are K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacifics." #5471 was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in March of 1927 and retired in August of 1956, while #5352 was built in Juniata in March of 1924 and retired in February of 1950. At the left is PRR engine #8797, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Lima Locomotive Works as Vandalia number "155" in August of 1916, renumbered PRR "8797" in 1917, and renumbered "9987" in 1951. |

Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5337 and another locomotive whose number is not recorded. Both are K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacifics." #5337 was built in Juniata during March of 1918 and retired in January of 1949 after 31 years of faithful service. Perhaps the "Second Engine" here is #5352? The photographer's name and the exactdate are not recorded. |
