Album Info:Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway (Big Four) depot located in West Liberty, Ohio. Built in 1926 when the mainline was relocated one mile west. Prior depots were located on Baird Street on the former mainline. This depot was moved in July 1993 and is located at 311 Zanesfield Road (US RT 68). Depot has been restored and is now used by Marie’s Candies. Marie’s Candies website has more info on depot under Our History. This depot was originally located on Township Highway 193 at Runkle Street, south of the intersection, west of tracks. The last passenger was given a ticket into the West Liberty Depot on his way home from World War II in 1942. Freight continued to be received and delivered until 1960.
