This is the first time we have taken a 2 day trip together and we are hoping to catch plently of trains. The first train I caught all by myself. NS and South Shore parrallel each nther between the outskirts of New Carlisle and South Bend closely so it was easy to move between the two. Sadly, the very high humidity caused my lense to begin to fog up which started happening right before this train came. South Shore 7 rockets east continuing its journey to the South Bend Airport. |

Next we got up to Millersburg before meeting up with CP 140 again. They stopped therd because, to our suprise over on the other side of town, was a Sperry Railcar working its way towards us. We took some more photos of this train, but they got the clear to continue east so we frossed over to the other side so the Sperry car wouldnt be blocked out by the CP train. But then we learned that the only reason that the CP train continued on was because the Sperry?Railcar had stopped to allow it to pass. This would be the final time we would see CP 140. |

So to attempt to try to catch the tqain, which never slowed down below 50 MPH we chased the train from Ligonier to just east of Waterloo just barely beating it! |

After NS 31M passed, NS 914, a loaded welded rajl train, which was sitting parked at Delkalb Agra got a new crew and they asked for permission to come out of the spur and head west to Elkhart. But the engine was completely dead and they couldnt move the train. So the dispatcher was goeng to send an engine from Bryan to go pick it up and bring it west. Never have gotten a shot from this viewpoint! |
