Title:  NKP 2-8-2 #663 - Nickel Plate Road
Description:  Good looking example of a Lima built 2-8-2 Mikado steam locomotive. The unit was built in June of 1924 and served until being sold for scrap in December of 1956 to Hyman-Micheals Co. Specs - builder #6854, class H-6f, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine weight of 305,400 lb, tractive effort of 54,724 lb. The date is approximate and no photographer was listed for the photo.

Description:  Typical action shot of a 2-8-2 Mikado built by Lima in March of 1917 for the Nickel Plate (New York, Chicago & St Louis RR). The loco served faithfully until being sold for scrap in November of 1963 to Luntz Iron & Steel Co. Specs - builder #5437, class H-5a, 63" driveres, 200 psi boiler pressure, 24x32" cylinders, engine weight of 291,750 lb, tractive effort of 49,737 lb. No location or date was given for the photo. Title:  NKP 2-8-2 #965 - Nickel Plate Road
Description:  This Alco-Brooks 2-8-2 Mikado built for the Nickel Plate Road (New York, Chicago & St Louis) in August of 1917 now sits as scrap in the New Haven, IN, yard, complete with its name crossed out. Eventually it would be sold as scrap to M.S. Kaplan Co on January 31, 1962. Specs - builder #57506, class H-5b, 63" driveres, 200 psi boiler pressure, 24x32" cylinders, engine weight of 291,750 lb, tractive effort of 49,737 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo.
