Album Info:Today, more of those shrinkwrapped equipment on flats came through, and I chased it from Flynn to Singleton to ensure I obtained good shot of any writing. Information from an inside source has informed me LORAM is listed on the waybill, which makes it MOW equipment. I emailed LORAM on the off chance they would reply. To my surprise, they did: Hello Philip, Thank you for your inquiry. The items on the flatcars are being shipped from Loram to Australia. The machine is RG419, an RG400 series rail grinder: (https://www.loram.com/…/rai…/production-rail-grinding/rg400/), similar to the rail grinders that you have probably seen on the BNSF tracks by your house previously. Please see the information on our website regarding the purpose of the rail grinders.
