Description:  The Arlberg Railway is Austria's only east-west mountain railway. It is one of the highest standard gauge railways in Europe. Here the Railjet Eurocity from Zurich/Switzerland on the way to Vienna, the main capital of Austria, pushed uphill by a Class 1116 (still behind the trees).

Description:  The Ribblehead Viaduct or Batty Moss Viaduct carries the Settle–Carlisle railway across Batty Moss in the Ribble Valley at Ribblehead, in North Yorkshire, England. Construction began in late 1869. It necessitated a large workforce, up to 2,300 men. By the end of 1874, the last stone of the structure had been laid. A Northern Rail Class 158/0 three car DMU passes the bridge as a short sun beam came for my happyness (!).
