CP 0-6-0T SL3 - Canadian Pacific |
Description: |
Here is a very unusual and rare 0-6-0T yard switcher built by the CP New Shops, Montreal, Quebec, in January of 1900. The little plugger lasted for nearly 43 years before being scrapped in August of 1943 with the original number of CP L2. In October of 1930, it was renumbered S.L.3. Specs - 52" drivers, 18x24" cylinders No photographer was listed for the photo. I could not find any information on this loco. Does anyone know its history and dispostion? |

Description: |
Long before an SD40-2 carried the number "6249", this little 0-6-0 yard goat did. Built between 1911-12 by the CP shops, some members of the U3d class lasted until 1955. J.R. Quinn photo |

CP 0-6-0 #6275 - Canadian Pacific |
Description: |
Nice example of a Canadian Pacific shops built 0-6-0 yard goat. This unit is one of 45 locos in the U3e class. Some of the class members lasted until 1958. Unfortunately, no location, date or photographer was listed for this photo. However, with the help from Mr. Raymond Kennedy, the location has been identified as outside the Stores Dept at Lambton roundhouse in Ontario, Canada. Much thanks to him for his help! He also noted that the little guy is now safely preserved at the Goderich Museum indoors. |
