All of them were purchased in a single eBay auction conducted by Mr. Tim Howerter on Thursday, 23 April 2020. The photographer's name, the locomotive road number(s), the date, and the location are cited when specified on the slide mount.

Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken at Potomac Yard in Alexandria, Virginia, during May of 1961. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4400, an E-44 (C-C) built General Electric in October of 1960 and rated at 4,400 horsepower. Partially visible at the left is PRR engine #4853, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) built in Juniata during June of 1935 and rated at 4,620 horsepower. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4864, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) built in Juniata during January of 1938 and rated at 4,620 horsepower. In this context, it has just departed Washington's Union Station with the northbound "Manhattan Limited."
