Description:  Great action shot of Grand Trunk Western 4-8-4 #6305 blowing its whistle and heading up a string of boxcars in an unknown Michigan location. Built by Alco-Schenectady in July of 1927, this massive 4-8-4 "Northern" type loco #6305 could easily handle this long string of cars. The loco lasted unti March of 1960 when it was scrapped. Specs - 73" drivers, impressive 250 psi boiler pressure, 26 1/4 x 30" cylinders, engine weight of 399,00 and tractive effort of 60,200 lb. No date, location or photographer was given for the photo.
