Description:  Newark. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Mr. Martin Zak. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4700, a P-5 (2-C-2) built in Juniata-Westinghouse as number "7898" in July of 1931, rated at 3,750 horsepower, renumbered "4700" in September of 1933, retired in April of 1965, and presently on display at the National Museum of Transportation in Kirkwood, Missouri. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4913, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) built in Juniata during January of 1942, rated at 4,620 horsepower, served into the Amtrak era as number "913," and presently on display at the Railroaders Memorial Museum in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #4774 and #4756. Both are P-5A (2-C-2) electrics built by General Electric and rated at 3,750 horsepower each. #4774 was built during December of 1932 and retired in December of 1961, while #4756 was constructed in September of 1932 and retired in June of 1963. In this context, it's pulling a wire-maintenance train. Note that the pantograph on the last car in the train is in the "up" position, and that only one track at this location is electrified.
