Description:  The new SBB switching and mainline locomotive, the Class Aem 940, is called "Elephant". The Class Prima H4 was developed by Alstom at Belfort/France. Since 2019 a deployment of 47 vehicles are currently planned.

Description:  The Class Am 843 is based on the diesel-hydraulic standard locomotives of the type G 1700-2 BB from the Kiel rail vehicle manufacturer Vossloh. But, in contrast to the standard version, is designed for left-hand traffic in Switzerland by arranging the control panels, front doors and exhaust chimney in mirror symmetry. They also have a front railing with fenders and built-in headlights.

Description:  The Tm 234 ("Ant") is a two-axle construction tractor of the SBB Infrastructure and some private railways. The main engine (12 cylinder MTU) develops an output of 550 kW, which it delivers to four traction motors via a hydrostatic system. The Tm 234 has a loading crane to work on the railway systems.

Description:  SBB checks electrification of the cargo diesel switcher locomotive Class Am 843. The locomotive is to be equipped on the one hand with a pantograph for driving on electrified routes and with a battery for non-electrified routes. After successful confirmation of the feasibility, a prototype will be created in a pilot conversion in 2021. In the course of 2022, the start of the series conversion of further locomotives is planned.

Description:  The 24 diesel-electric shunting tractors for the depots and workshops that were procured between 1958 and 1966 were designated as Tm III by SBB. Index III stands for performance class III (between 200 and 350 hp). This one was built as #4564 at SLM Winterthur in 1965. Today its owned by Stauffer, a switcher leasing company, as 231 007.
