Album Info:Here are eight B&W postal cards depicting various Pennsylvania Railroad scenes in Altoona, Pennsylvania, around 1911. Also included is one from the East Broad Top Railroad. All of them are reproductions ~ i.e., not originals. I purchased all of them in a single eBay auction conducted by Mr. Thomas Riley on 1 October 2024. The photographers' names and the exact dates are not recorded.

Prominent here is the Pennsylvania Railroad's FURNACE Tower, located in the midst of the Altoona Yards. Also note the Laborers maintaining one of the many switches. Partially visible at the far right is a gasoline-powered yard scooter used to retrieve Yard Brakemen and return them to the top of the Hump.
