Description:  This was a view facing south of the Southern Pacific swing span across the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway at Houma, Louisiana. This structure was replaced by a vertical lift bridge in 1982, and this line was abandoned by the Louisiana & Delta Railroad in 1991.

Title:  SP GP9R 3433
Description:  Southern Pacific GP9R 3433 was running north through Houma, Louisiana after having just crossed the swing span over the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway. The SP sold the Houma Branch to the Louisiana & Delta Railroad in 1978 and this locomotive became L&D 1750 North Bend, then it became Buffalo & Pittsburgh 211 in 1988.
