Description:  Two monster engines side-by-side. No. 10200 was the first of 42 electric locomotives delivered by General Electric to the Road beginning in 1915, the year it was built, when the Milwaukee electrified operations across five mountain ranges in Montana, Idaho, and Washington. No. 227 was one of 18 yellowstone-type locomotives built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works for the Missabe Road in 1941

Title:  SOO 2500
Description:  No. 2500 was built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division in November, 1949, as a demonstrator unit. It was then taken on a sales promotion tour. Soo Line was so impressed that it purchased the demonstrator unit. The No. 2500 pulled The Laker passenger train for the Soo Line (now CP Rail) from Duluth to southern Wisconsin and Chicago.

Title:  Hanna Iron Mining Company Electric Locomotive No. 307
Description:  No. 307, constructed by General Electric in 1928, is typical of the many 60-ton steeple- cab electric locomotives formerly used in mining and industrial railroad operations. It is the last electric locomotive that operated on the Mesabi Range. Built originally for use at Hannas Wabigon Mine at Buhl, Minnesota, it later worked on the Mesabi Chief Washing Plant haulage line near Keewatin.

Title:  NP 2435
Description:  Constructed in 1907 by Brooks Works of the American Locomotive Company. No. 2435 ended her days on the Northern Pacific in 1954 having been demoted to switching and transfer duties. Exhibited for many years at the Duluth Zoo, it was donated to the museum by the City of Duluth in 1978.

Description:  Constructed for the Duluth, Missabe and Northern in 1893 by the Duluth Car Manufacturing Company. Caboose No. 9 spent most of its 81-year life tagging on the end of commercial freight trains and in yard service.
