Album Info:Open Access infrastructure operator Colas has started to operate its open engineers trains in the South West of the UK. The obtained two class 47s, 47727 and 47749 and had them overhauled at Eastligh works. The locos were to be used on their first contract which is the Rail Head treatment train. In the autumn, Network Rail operate a train which cleans the surface of the railes to prevent build up of leaves and grease which will affect adhesion on the Devon and Cornwall banks. The trains operated overnight but on Sundays a weekly daylight run took place from Liskeard to Newton Abbot, these are the results
