American Steel and Wire of Worcester, Massachusetts --- Bo 18 is a 3-foot gauge saddle tanker manufactured by Vulcan in 1917. Old No18 done fairly better than the Boston & Maine caboose displayed at Athol, Massachusetts. No 18 now resides at the Connecticut Antique Machinery Association over in Kent, Connecticut where No 18 was cosmetically restorek - more photos of No 18 and the Connecticut Antique Machinery Association are available at the NERAIL photo site |

St Louis, Southwestern Railway Long Caboose 2305 |
Description: |
Known as a "Long Caboose" on the Cotton Belt. Probably used for mixed train service. Seen at the Valley Railroad in Essex, Connecticut, 1 July 1987, the 2305 was owned by the Railroad Museum of New England. Received word 10 April 2011, the 2305 will be leaving New England within a couple of months to a new owner. Latest news as of 9 July 2011, the new owner is Mr. Gary Powell. The SSW 2305 is in the process of being prepared for road movement from Old Saybrook, CT to Texas where some say it belongs. |

Much of the work was done with grades, bridges and retaining walls, but the railroad was never finished once the pricipal promoter died in the Titanic mishap. There's many relics left from the Grand Trunk in the Rhode Island, Massachusetts area. |
