EL boxcar still serving. Only not as intended. Not sure of the exact location, but you can see this along the east side of Interstate 71. This farmer knows a good thing when he sees it.

At a drugstore you can find many items, but this? Nice display. Erie, EL and later Conrail all ran through Mantua. The tracks have long since been removed. Tried to match this number to no avail.

What if you can't get along with your engineer?
Title:  What if you can't get along with your engineer?
Description:  Lou, on the left is a retired CR/NS engineer and I worked for EL/CR as a Conductor. Lou and I put in a brick inlay patio and I overestimated how many bricks we would need. I'm holding the extra one. Lou was perturbed about the extra expense. We've actually been good friends for years. I regret to update this post like this, but my buddy Lou passed away on 4-21-24, RIP Engineer Lou LoVerde.
