Description: |
One of two Steeple Cab Class S electric freight motors built by Baldwin Westinghouse. Originally built in August 1930 as Salt Lake & Utah (SL & U)#106. In July 1946 when the SL & U ceased operations the unit was acquired by the Canadian Pacific Electric Lines where it became Grand River Railway (GRR) #230. When operations ended on the GRR and LE & N lines, the unit was sold to the Cornwall Street Railway in November 1962. It became CSR #17 until it was retired in 1971. Serial number 61456. |

Description: |
A 60 ton boxcab built by General Electric in 1915, this electric box-cab locomotive had 1000 h.p. Serial number 5000. It was one of three units purchased and used by L & PS. This unit was retired in 1966 and donated to the Museum of Science & Technology in Ottawa, ON It was declared surplus in 1995 and offered to the Elgin County Railway Museum. L-2 is on display at the Halton County Radial Railway Museum in Milton, ON and L-3 did not escape the cutters torch. |

Description: |
A Hudson 4-6-4, class K-5a, built by MLW in 1930. This was one of five 4-6-4 owned by CN. Originally slated to be scrapped at the end of the steam era in 1960, 5703 received new lease on life when the original 5700, which was marked for preservation, accidentally had a cutting torch taken to it. Realizing their mistake, Canadian National pulled 5703 from the scrap line and renumbered it 5700. |

A 43 ton switch engine built by GE in 1939 in Erie, Pennsylvania. Powered by two 150 h.p. engines. This unit worked the St. Thomas north yard from 1939 until 1961 when it was sold to Merrillies Equipment Co. in Toronto, ON. It worked arjund Toronto until 1967 when it was sold to the Atlas Steel Co. in Tracy, PQ. where it worked until 1994. The Elgin County Railway Museum then purchased "Tillie" and returned her to St. Thomas, ON. |

Description: |
An RSD-17 built by LLW in May 1957 and the only one ever built. It was originally numbered CP #7007 and was used as a demonstrator by CP between August and November 1957. The unit then went to CN where it was numbered CN #3899 and tested betteen December 1957 and March 1958. It then went to PGE where it was renumbered PGE #624 and tested between April 1958 and October 1958. It was purchased by CP in September 1959 and renumbered CP #8921. It was rebuilt and chopnosed by CP in 2988 and eventually retired in May 1995. It was donated to the Elgin County Railway Museum in January 1997. |

Originally built as an F3A by GMD in May 1948 for Grand Trunk Railway and numbered GTW #9013. Serial number 5212, 1500 h.p., class V-1-a, engine 16-567BC. In 1954 it was reclassified GFA-15a. The unit was retired in August 1972. It wcs transferred to CN and then rebuilt as an F7Au in 1973, class GFA-17a. It was retired again in December 1989. |
