Former NYC over Ohio Turnpike. |
| Description: |
The NYC ran on solid ground here until the early 50s when the turnpike was being built. This, of course, necessitated this bridge that I'm on. As you look down the turnpike toward the west you can see that it crosses a large bridge. The CVSR and the Cuyahoga River are on the valley floor. It must have been a scenic ride for train crews. |

A victim of the 1968 PC merger, this former NYC line runs along the eastern edge of the Cuyahoga Valley. It once connected to what has become CSX just NE of the 77/480 interchange in Cleveland and has been abandoned all the way to Ravenna. A small portion exists in Kent [Hugo Stone] and is serviced by NS. |
