Description:  UPs track gang is constructing a new OWLS (one-way, low speed) diamond at Ridgely. This photo was taken looking down what will be the I&Ms route across the diamond. You can see how the new diamond will lift the wheel flanges up and over the railheads of the UP mainline.

First Switch cut in for the Ridgely Project on the UP Siding
Title:  First Switch cut in for the Ridgely Project on the UP Siding
Description:  Here is the first switch cut in for the Ridgely Project. It will connect the UP siding to the I&M mainline, with a left hand switch in the middle that will tie into No. 6 track in the yard. Anytime the UP wants to access the yard from the south end they will need permission from the I&M dispatcher to enter Shops Yard Limits, as the I&M switch will be just to the north of the new interlocking. Perhaps the UP has already come up with a creative solution to this potential problem.
