LOAM RS3 4078 |
Description: |
Louisiana Midland RS3 4078 was parked out-of-service at the east end of the railroad in Ferriday, Louisiana. The locomotive was originally Delaware & Hudson 4078 and then leased to Providence & Worcester as the 163 between 1 February 1973 and 30 April 1974 . Back on the D&H it regained it original number but retained its P&W colors. It was sold to the LOAM in November 1978 and was eventually scrapped here. The 4078's brown paint had weathered to a bluish-purple color. |
