Album Info:These photos were taken at 3pm on Sunday afternoon after the Blizzard of 09 which dropped nearly 2 feet of snow in the Baltimore area over a 24 hour period the day before. With switch problems & difficulty in getting crews to trains traffic south of Baltimore on the Capital Sub had tapered off to a trickle. The Old Main Line had 3 inches of snow on the rail head indicating the last train over it had been around 8 pm the night before. At 1 PM local observers said only 2 trains had moved thru St.Denis all day.
