Description:  I usually drive through the road that runs alongside the tracks and former KCS depot in Mansfield when I am out running errands. I heard the horn, and jumped out of the car to take this last second shot of a KCS freight moving through Mansfield at a good clip - full track speed.

Description:  On Friday, October 8, a KCS crew told me the KCS business train would be running south on Monday. I had an appointment at prime time, and naturally, I missed it. I had my photographic assistant run down with her Nikon L3. This was her first train shot and the speed of the train caught her by surprise.

Description:  The spot on the observation deck of the "Port Arthur" would have been the place to be. I was standing on the stair platform than runs from the Common Street overpass down to where Union Station used to be in Shreveport. I wonder if the passengers on the train even realized that they were passing by the platforms of Shreveport's long gone Union Station?
