Album Info:It all started when I was sitting in the band room at JCHS in Gray. We were talking and had the door open to get in some fresh air. The track runs right behind the high school, so someone can clearly see it from the school grounds. I heard an engine coming and looked out the door. The research train came through! With no camera, I just simply watched it go by. My mother was coming home from work on Cumslo Road in Gray and she spotted the train idling on a stretch of track there. When band practice let out, I told her and it was the same train that she had seen. We went back up there and took some pictures with her cell phone. I then wanted to run home and grab my charged-up camera and video camera. We did, and when we got back to Cumslo, it was gone. We went down to East Griswoldville and no sight of him there either. We went on down Jeffersonville Road and heard NS 904 call a signal at Mogul, which we had just passed. I knew that this train had been addressed a number in the "900" series. We went on down to Macon and waited at Macon, Junction. Soon enough, he rounded the curve and got permission from the dispatcher to enter the yard limits. He came on through Macon JUnction and entered the yard. I managed to get down to the main yard and catch him entering. The train stopped there and the conductor got off to throw a switch. The train stopped right in front of me and I was able to get a lot of pictures of the 3 units. This was a great surprise to spruce up my Wednesday afternoon!
