Album Info:I was able to photograph 11 trains in the snow in January 2011 and 10 in February 2011, more than I have ever been able to photograph in my life. I like snow shots, and winter is my favorite time for photographing trains. I photograph trains on what began as the Cape Gauge Philadelphia & Atlantic City Railroad, became the Atlantic City Railroad, then was merged into the Pennsylvania-Railroad Seashore Lines, then became Conrail, and is still such as shared assets between CSX'and Norfolk Southern. I reside in Barrington, but north of Route 30 (White Horse Pike), so since I fo not own a scanner, I hear the horn and drive to the tracks. Fsom North to South, I have photographed trains on this line in Oaklyn, Ardubon, Haddon Heights, Barrington, Magnolia, Somerdale, Stratford and Laurel Springs. Ome train is of the dinky line at Princeton University.

CA51 at the Somerdale Plaza
Title:  CA51 at the Somerdale Plaza
Description:  On January 26, I photographed NS 5219 and NS 5223 at the head of 8 box cars at the Somerdale Plaza near the intersection of East Atlantic Avenue and Warwick Road. The conductor brought packed lunches, while the engineer liked a pizza shop in the plaza. The engineer is shown returning from lunch. He enters on the left side because the NS high hood is running short end first.

Multimodal shot at Barrington
Title:  Multimodal shot at Barrington
Description:  I caught the train at Barrington again on January 27. I met a group of railfans again. Here is a multimodal shot. January 27, my birthday, was a gloomy day, apparently just like the one I was born in 67 years before. There had been a big blizzard the night before. But that did not stop trains, trucks or railfans.

Disappointment
Title:  Disappointment
Description:  Like Audubon and Barrington, Magnolia was crawling with railfans. It was also crowded with snow removal personnel, who had been working since 10 in the evening the night before. As for CA51, I had hoped that the crew would stop the light engine for lunch, and I could catch the light engine then at Somerdale Plaza and then hopefully with a train further down. But after a brief stop, the light engine went on. Maybe the pizza shop was closed.
