Ballast cleaning
Title:  Ballast cleaning
Description:  Balfour Beatty RM 80-UHR ballast maintainer. The unit is moving left to right at a slow walking pace. The track is lifted and a long chainsaw like bar is extended under the track drawing the ballast to this side of the car. It is then augered up the side and onto a series of conveyer belts and discharged to the side at the front of the unit. As it moves, it replaces the ballast with clean/new (to the left of the men) and the track is laid back down.
