Description:  Inspection special rolling down Independence Hill on the UP Sedalia Sub. into Rock Creek Jct. is UP Train SPFCB 02, on its way from my hometown, Poplar Bluff, MO, to Council Bluffs, IA with 3 passenger cars. The 2 business cars are Ex-SP and rarely leave the State of California, so this is probably the first time I've seen them since the Mid-1990s.

Description:  Climbing Blue Valley Hill on the KCS Pittsburg Sub. at 56th Street in notch 8 is a trio of SD40s on a KCS grain load off the CP at Kansas City, running as KCS Train G-KCAD-10. It's been a while since I stood directly over a full throttle 3 pack of SD40s. This train had a Candy Apple Red SOO SD60 on the point up in Iowa yesterday, but this was a suitable consolation prize.
