Album Info:Sitting at the end of a short string of cars was Chicago South Shore & South Bend caboose, #10006, although it has CSS 006 numbering on its side. Definitely an ex-ATSF caboose as the previous logo is highly visible bleeding through the sloppy paint job. Not a common site since it is usually buried deep in the bowels of the Burns Harbor yards.

Title:  CSS 10006 (CSS 006) - Chicago South Shore & South Bend
Description:  Couldn't believe my eyes as I was running down US 12 through the Burns Harbor area when I spotted this red jewel sitting in the open.

CSS 10006 (CSS 006) - Chicago South Shore & South Bend
Title:  CSS 10006 (CSS 006) - Chicago South Shore & South Bend
Description:  With the penchant for the color orange on other CSS cabooses, it seems unusual to see this one in red.

CSS 10006 (CSS 006) - Chicago South Shore & South Bend
Title:  CSS 10006 (CSS 006) - Chicago South Shore & South Bend
Description:  On closer inspection, multiple shadows of the Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe logo have bled through the poor paint job. I can make out faintly three of its previous numbers - "2 _ _ 98" - to the left of the CSS 006 numbering..
