Album Info:This series of photos is set on the hottest day of the summer. Temps reached nearly 100 degrees in the shade, no one measured the head behind the fire box, but it was intense. The WSRR ran 4 steam trains with #75. Three were regular passenger trains and one was a an evening Photography Special with a short freight train. In the evening a dinner train behind diesel #45 rounded out operations. At one point we had two active trains on the line plus a switcher working the yard and a hi-rail following the steam locomotive for fire suppression. (BTW we didn't have any fires to suppress over 3 weekends of operation.) This was all done with a great group of hardworking train and support crews. /DL

Coaling
