Album Info:In my graduation year, my photography focuses heavily on the Miami terminal as usual. Since O721 no longer runs Sundays regularly, I saw it fit to combine the Homestead reels with the Miami Sub as I will have fewer opportunities to railfan the Homestead Sub.

Description:  Formal shot. Rare daylight nb rock train emerging from the Homestead - and get this, the Lehigh Spur. The Lehigh has not been mining rock to the capacity it did years back and only shipped a handful of unit trains in 2012. Even fewer than the Coal trains that ran that year.New year, new op patterns (second sunday where a train releases authority in daylight in a row), and new faith in the Lehigh Spur. Let's go!

Description:  I dispatched Cesar to what seemed like the right turn, but then it turned out to be the wrong turn given the ridiculous rush hour traffic. O721 stopped us, this train we really intended to catch since as you can see the leader was a Boxcar GEVO (3068), third of its kind in SFL. I at least got this pic of this less than impressive one-car train. Engine 3068, delivered 2013, leads this little speck past 36th St.
