Description: |
Here is an unusual diesel. It's a pre-production Baldwin VO-660 with no model designation, c/n #62300 and originally numbered RDG #36 but renumbered in 1940 to RDG #60. This was an experimental unit with a welded steel frame. It served the Reading until retirement in 1962 and was sold to the Luria Brothers for scrap. Bert Pennypacker photo |
