Description:  With his head out the window, an engineer waits patiently while the conductor heads down the side of the train. Built by Alco in 1926, this Mountain-type locomotive sported 69" drivers, developed a respectable 210 psi boiler pressure for its 28"x30" cylinders. With an engine weight of 356,000 lb, it generated a respectable tractive force of 60,845 lb. Date is approximate. No photographer listed.
